Camp CHAMP 2016
Camp Champ is a secular camp where a special group of kids can have their chance to be kids. These are kids, ages 6-13, who may lead a stressful and unsettled life – they may be separated from one or both parents as a result of some court action, or kids who may have some disability, or whose family is unable to secure affordable housing or kids who would just benefit from an active, safe and well coached camp. There are great heaps of healthy food, camp rules to follow and counselors to keep kids safe and help peaceful resolution of conflicts.
Camp CHAMP would like to thank all who donated their time, energy, support, and financial contributions. A special thanks to K.J. & Peggy Metcalf and Torre Frampton.

Community Day 2016
The Eagle River United Methodist Camp (ERUMC) would like to thank the Juneau Community for attending the Open House at the camp on April 4, 2016. Roughly 200 people visited, enjoyed, and toured the wonderful facilities available to this community for rental. The perfect sunny day made it a great time to play lawn games, eat hot dogs and ice cream, and tour the camp and the hiking trails which surround it.
Congratulations to Heath and Robyn Coro, the winners of the $150 Gift Certificate

Receives Grant from Holland America Line and Princes Cruises Line
Eagle River United Methodist Camp is pleased to announce we have received a $425 grant from Holland America Line and a $425 grant from Princess Cruises Lines. We are excited that these funds will begin to allow us to “Revamp” our camp activities.
Through taking action to revamp the activities found at camp we can start to connect the potential recreation opportunities that our camp facilities and grounds have to offer. We hope that by starting to provide some of the basic activities here at camp, our participants will learn and grow through great fun and laughter. Perhaps we will even see some new faces out here at camp!
The Holland America Line grant, which was matched by Princess Cruise Lines, looks for projects that will benefit Juneau as a whole and not just one small part of the community. Thank you, Holland America and Princess, for supporting us at the Eagle River United Methodist Camp. We are excited we can offer that much more at our community camp.
